About danielle

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by! I am Danielle Acosta - a mom to my son and 2 dogs, and a wife.  Since 2016, I've been passionately educating myself on all things birth, breastfeeding and motherhood.  It all started when a friend of mine gave birth at home (and I judged her).  After diving into homebirth and investigating the system, I realized that's exactly what was right for me - and from there, my world exploded.  I still practice as a Pediatric Audiologist, and love working with the kiddos, but there's something about the pre- and postnatal periods that spark a fire in me.  I gave birth to my little guy in January 2021 on the floor of my bedroom with the support of my husband, my doula and now great friend, and my midwives.  I've breastfed him since day one, not without some difficulties, and try my hardest to mother him gently.  I love this journey, and would love to help you on yours.
